Pick up your calls anywhere in the world with Skype
You can forward your XOIP number to your Skype account. When someone calls your XOIP number, the Skype client on your computer will ring. You can pick up and answer the call. If you are not online, your voicemail will pick up.
Configuring Skype
Log onto the website, and select "configure Skype". Enter your Skype name, and follow the on-screen prompts
Alternatively, you can manually configure a number of yours by editing the number settings.
Give your XOIP number a call. If your Skype rings, it is working. Otherwise continue with step 2.
NB! Configuring your Skype client
You need to ensure that your Skype client allows calls from the XOIP Skype system. One way to do this is to set your Skype client to receive calls from all numbers.
- Open your Skype client.
- Find your privacy settings.
- Select "Allow From Anyone."
If you do not wish to allow calls from anyone, you then need to add the XOIP Skype user.
- Open your Skype client.
- Select the "+" button to add a Skype user.
- Search for user 'xoipskype'
- Select and add the user
