XOIP Credits

XOIP is a prepaid service. Charges that are not included in your subscription are deducted from your XOIP credit balance. XOIP credits are 1:1 denominated in Euro. The minimum top-up amount is €10. Call forwards are charged per minute, voicemails per piece. You also need XOIP credits to send faxes. These are charged per page (no credits are required to receive faxes).

After you purchase credits, the cost of faxes sent, forwarded calls or voicemails are automatically deducted from your credit.

You can see your credit balance on the XOIP website, on every page where it is relevant.

Empty credit

If your credit balance is empty – and you have no free minutes – incoming calls go straight to voicemail. If your number has paid voicemail, calls will not be answered and you will receive an email that you have missed a call.

Faxes cannot be sent without credit. When uploading a fax on the web, you immediately see if you have the required credits. If you deliver the fax by email you will receive a notice by return email if you do not have sufficient credit.

Buying credits

You can purchase credits on the XOIP website after logging in with your account. You can choose from several amounts.

Credits may expire

Credits remain valid as long as you have a paid subscription with XOIP.
If this is not (or no longer) the case, they expire one year after your last credit transaction. You will be notified well in advance if you are at risk of your credit expiring so that you can take appropriate action to avoid this.
Specifically, credits expire one year after the last of these events:
● Your last paid subscription payment
● Your last forwarded call, voicemail, or fax that was paid for with your credit
● Your last credit purchase

Credits are non-refundable

Unused credits cannot be refunded — also not when the you cancel your subscription or your account.

Free minutes

Some voice plans include a monthly amount of free calling minutes. As long as you remain within this bundle, no credit will be deducted from your balance. You can see in your account how many free minutes are left at any given time. Unused free minutes expire each month. They cannot be carried over to the next month.

Alert when running low

When you’re running low on credits, you will receive an email notification, so that you can top up and not miss any calls. When your free minutes are about to run out and you don’t have enough calling credit to transfer a call afterwards, you will also receive an email warning.

If you run out of credit while you are on a call, you will hear an audio message during the call to warn you that your credit is running low.
